You can trade all non-suspended securities listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). On occasion, the PSE may suspend stocks from trading due to various reasons: i.e. in preparation for critical bulletins or corporate announcements, deficiency in providing SEC documents and violations made against the regulations of the PSE. PSE suspended stocks cannot be traded as long as the suspension flag is raised.

Some types of securities you can find in the PSE:

1. Common Shares

A common share is a security that represents ownership in a corporation. Majority of the shares listed in the PSE are common shares.

2. Preferred Shares

A preferred share is a class of ownership in a corporation that has a higher claim on its assets and earnings. Preferred shares generally have a dividend that must be paid out to its shareholders.

3. Warrants

Warrants are like options that gives you the right to purchase an underlying stock at a specified exercise price at a specified exercise time. Warrants can also be traded like common shares.

4. Exchange Traded Fund (ETF)

An ETF is a publicly traded fund that is built to track or closely mirror the performance of a basket of securities, assets, or benchmark index.
