Yes, parents can open an account for their children who are minors using the COL ITF (In-Trust-For) account-type. A birth certificate will be needed as a requirement for the minor. Please note that only the child's parents (or legal guardian if both parents are incapacitated) are authorized to open an ITF account for the minor.

ITF accounts are individual accounts under the parent's name with an ITF tag. The ITF account is legally owned by the parent. When the minor turns 18, you can convert the account into joint account between both parent and child.

To open a COL account, please go to https://signup.colfinancial.com

For the initial part of the sign up, kindly indicate the primary account holder's name. Once your email and mobile have been verified, then you can select ITF as your account ownership type when proceeding to fill out your information.
