There are 3 types of account ownerships that you can choose from:


INDIVIDUAL

Owned solely by one (1) individual, 18 years old and above. 


JOINT OR

Owned by two (2) individuals, both 18 years old and above. This account would have the following characteristics:

  • All withdrawn funds would be issued via check - payable to both account holders
  • Bank accounts registered should also be a Joint Or bank account to avoid check deposit problems
  • All certificates and certifications would be issued to both account holders
  • Account holders cannot take out the other account holder from a Joint account


IN-TRUST-FOR

An investment account opened by the parent intended for his/her child below 18 years old. This account would have the following characteristics:

  • All withdrawn funds would be issued via check - payable to the parent
  • All certificates and certificates would be issued to the parent's name
  • Once the child turns 18 years old and above, the parent can convert the account to a Joint Or account
